This Santa Claus marked the beginning of the success story of the festive red-nosed figures.
Because Björn Köhler needed a last-minute gift sometime in the late 1980s—so he wouldn’t show up empty-handed on St. Nicholas Day—he created the original Santa Claus figure on his personal wood lathe. When he started his own business, he remembered the figure and the joy it had brought—and produced his first small batch.
Refreshingly youthful and always with a playful twinkle in their eyes, these cuddly originals have touched people’s hearts in a heartwarming way ever since, becoming the hallmark of the workshop.
