From the very beginning he was driven by the challenge of designing his own collection, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. The breakthrough came in 1991 with his Christmas crib. Further figures followed. Conceived at the drawing table and refined over and over and again in countless sketches, the minimalistic expression of these figures conceals an immense charm.
